Greengasm: Even Sex Can be Environmentally Friendly

So, you’ve gone green, not in a Kermit the Frog kind of way…(watch the video foo!)

…but in a save the planet kind of way and you no longer clean with chemical filled cleansers, you bought yourself a hybrid car and even recycle your plastics, but have you gone Eco-friendly between the sheets? How is your sex life impacting the Earth? If you haven’t already figured out exactly how to go green in the bedroom here are some good tips for greenwashing your sex life.

It may come as a surprise to some environmentalists but sex toys are not environmentally friendly, generally speaking. Many, if not most, adult toys are made from polyvinyl chlorides, known as PVC, that release toxins into the air.

The chemical used to soften the hard plastic is phthalates. Phthalates are currently being investigated for causing cancer, harming the reproductive system as well as harming the planet.
